Hello, our lovely readers, In this article we are reviewing the new 2024 Honda Passport. For the 2024 model year, the Passport is available in three trim levels; Black Edition, TrailSport, and EX-L. So today we will find out what’s new and what’s not in the 2024 Passport SUV.

Only slightly, things are different for the 2024 Honda Passport. A new all-terrain tire option for the off-road-focused Passport TrailSport is available; it consists of General Grabber A/Tx tires mounted on 18-inch wheels. The Passport TrailSport receives the Diffused Sky Blue color option from its three-row brother, taking a cue from the Pilot TrailSport. The top trim level, the Passport Black Edition, has a finer interior than the previous model. Additionally, a new center console with greater storage capacity is included with every Passport.

Interior, Cabin, and Features

The interior of the Passport will seem instantly familiar to anyone who has been inside a Honda Ridgeline. Although the design is unimpressive, the materials are reasonably beautiful, and the controls are well arranged, though we wish there were more knobs and buttons rather than touchscreen controls. The broad, cozy front seats include a convenient armrest that can be adjusted for maximum comfort. The Passport can accommodate up to five passengers thanks to its spacious back seat.

Behind the back seat is 41 cubic feet of storage space, big enough to accommodate 15 of our carry-on bags. The ability to carry 33 bags in total and 78 cubes of space are unlocked by folding that row. Thanks to helpful bins located throughout the cabin and a sizable bin in the center of the console, inside cubby storage is excellent overall.

Speaking about the features, An 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is standard on all Passport models. It also has a wireless smartphone charging station and Bluetooth. The EX-L and TrailSport models come with a seven-speaker audio system, while the top-of-the-line Passport Elite has an improved ten-speaker system. TrailSport and Elite models come equipped with a normal 115-volt outlet as well. However, the Elite is the only model that offers Wi-Fi hotspot availability; the lower-end EX-L and TrailSport models do not.

The new 2024 Honda Passport is also equipped with the entire suite of safety and driver-assistance technologies offered by the manufacturer, including adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, forward-collision warning, and more.

Engine & Performance

The engine under the hood is the same 3.5-liter V-6 with 280 horsepower and a nine-speed automated transmission as the Pilot. All-wheel drive is used in all variants. According to test drive done by Caranddriver’s team, the Passport felt quick, rode comfortably on most roads, and had a precise steering feel that made it feel nimble.

Additionally, it has 8.1 inches of ground clearance, which is sufficient to get through some rough terrain without damaging the undercarriage. However according to them, the new 2024 Honda Passport by no means a true off-road vehicle. Choosing the TrailSport variant increases off-road prowess, but in rough terrain, it still can’t outmaneuver a Ford Bronco or a Jeep Wrangler.

For towing and payload capacity, The Honda Passport, albeit it is the two-row variant of the three-row Pilot that is more compact, is still a good tow vehicle for light-duty applications. With a maximum towing capacity of 5000 pounds, the Passport is capable of towing a heavier boat or trailer than other cars of a comparable size, such the Chevy Blazer, which has a 4500-pound limit, and the 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe, which has a 3500-pound capability.

Price for 2024 Honda Passport

The 2024 Honda Passport ranges in price from $43,295 to $49,365, depending on the trim level and options;

  • Black Edition
  • TrailSport
  • EX-L
