2025 Lexus NX Design, Specs

For the 2025 model year, The NX is available in six trim models: the NX 250, NX 350, NX 350 F Sport Handling, NX 350h Hybrid, NX 450h+, and NX 450h+ F Sport Handling. However, The Lexus NX hasn’t changed much since its major redesign in 2022, but it does have some nice updates for 2025.

One of the most eye-catching is the new Copper Crest finish, which has a beautiful rose gold shine. Inside, there’s a new interior color called Macadamia, but it’s only available in the higher-end Luxury models.

Lexus has added a few convenient features too. A wireless charger can now be added to any model, and all NXs now come with extra USB-C ports in the front console, rain-sensing wipers, and a power liftgate as standard. Plus, the intuitive parking assist with automatic braking is now included on all models, making parking easier and safer.

2025 Lexus NX Interior

The 2025 Lexus NX has a modern and classy interior, with spacious seating that stands out in the luxury subcompact crossover class. It offers more room for passengers in the back and extra cargo space when the rear seats are folded down compared to many of its competitors.

You can also choose from optional features like a panoramic sunroof, heated rear seats, ambient lighting with 64 color options, and sleek black open-pore wood trim to enhance the cabin’s comfort and style.

How about the infotainment and connectivity? All 2025 Lexus NX models come with a touchscreen infotainment system, starting with a 9.8-inch screen in the base model and a larger 14.0-inch screen in higher trims.

Both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard and connect wirelessly, so you don’t need any cables. If you want, you can add a wireless charging pad for your phone and a head-up display that shows key info on the windshield.

For the sound, the NX comes with a 10-speaker stereo system and a free trial of Amazon Music. If you’re a music lover, you can upgrade to a 17-speaker Mark Levinson system, available with the Premium or Luxury packages, for an even better listening experience.

2025 Lexus NX Power Options

Now about the power options! You have four engine choices. The base NX250 features a 203-horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, available with front- or all-wheel drive. The NX350 steps up with a 275-horsepower turbocharged 2.4-liter engine and standard all-wheel drive.

If you are interested in hybrid options, the NX350h combines a 2.5-liter engine with electric motors for a total of 240 horsepower, while the NX450h+ plug-in hybrid delivers a more powerful 304 horsepower. Both hybrid models also come with all-wheel drive.

How about the fuel economy? It depends on the model. The most efficient is the hybrid NX350h, which gets 41 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway.

The base NX250 delivers up to 26 mpg city and 33 mpg highway, while the turbocharged NX350 offers 22 mpg city and 29 mpg highway. The plug-in hybrid NX450h+ achieves 38 mpg city, 33 mpg highway, and can drive up to 37 miles on electric power alone before needing a recharge.

The new 2025 Lexus NX, when properly equipped, has a towing capacity of up to 2,000 pounds. This makes it a solid choice for those who need to tow small trailers, boats, or other light loads.

2025 Lexus NX Warranty

Now about the warranty and maintenance coverage? Lexus offers one of the most comprehensive warranty and maintenance packages in the industry, giving you peace of mind as you drive.

The limited warranty covers four years or 50,000 miles, and the powertrain is protected for six years or 70,000 miles. If you have a hybrid model, you’re even more covered, with a warranty that lasts for ten years or 150,000 miles.

However, when it comes to complimentary scheduled maintenance, Lexus falls a bit short compared to competitors like the Volvo XC40 and BMW X1, as it only offers this benefit for one year or 10,000 miles, while others provide three years of coverage.

What We Think?

In our opinion, The new 2025 Lexus NX stands out with its sleek design, luxurious interior, and advanced technology, making it a strong contender in the luxury compact SUV market. Its fuel-efficient hybrid options and smooth ride are major pluses, offering both performance and economy.

However, the infotainment system can be a bit cumbersome to use, and the cargo space is somewhat limited compared to rivals.

Which NX Model Do We Recommend?

If you’re considering the 2025 Lexus NX, you’ll find that it starts at just under $42,000, but the base model might feel a bit too basic for those expecting true luxury. For a more balanced experience, the mid-range NX350 is a smart choice. It comes with a 275-horsepower turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers the kind of performance you’d expect from a luxury SUV.

We recommend the NX350 Luxury trim, which takes things up a notch with premium features like a larger 14.0-inch infotainment display, quilted leather seats, cloud-connected navigation, upgraded ambient lighting inside, 20-inch wheels, four-way adjustable lumbar support for the driver, and adaptive headlamps that enhance visibility.

If you want something with a bit more edge, the NX350 F Sport is another excellent option. It’s priced similarly to the Luxury trim but adds sportier styling and performance enhancements, making it a great choice for drivers who want a more aggressive look and feel.
